## What each alternative charges, and who should buy it

You can weigh all 16 alternatives and AdBuyMCP on the same five facts: how you pay, the published minimum, the channels, where it runs and who it suits.

The alternatives

## Each alternative is the better buy for someone

They range from platforms your team runs to specialists in one channel, the search and social ads you may already buy, an agency, and buying each channel yourself.

01

### [AdBuyMCP vs Google and Meta](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/google-and-meta)

Search and social

Google and Meta are the better buy for the buyers who are already looking. AdBuyMCP is for the rest of your market, and the two work together.

Choose Google and Meta when

You need meetings this month, or most of your buyers search for what you sell. Put the money into search and outbound first, because they reach the buyers who are looking now, and come back to awareness for the rest of your market.

Choose AdBuyMCP when

Search and social already catch the buyers who are looking, and you want your company in front of the rest of your market before they start. Keep search and social running alongside it.

02

### [AdBuyMCP vs StackAdapt](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/stackadapt)

Platform

StackAdapt is the closest like-for-like and the stronger platform today. AdBuyMCP suits a founder who wants one monthly price for the frequency they choose, with the budget balanced across the channels for them.

Choose StackAdapt when

You have someone in-house to run campaigns, you want display, native or email beside the awareness channels, or you need account-level targeting and attribution. For a team that wants to run the channels itself, StackAdapt is the stronger platform.

Choose AdBuyMCP when

You want to choose how often your market should see you each week, for a price you know up front, and you'd rather approve a plan than run a platform.

[The full comparison](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/stackadapt) 3 sources linked

03

### [AdBuyMCP vs LinkedIn Ads](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/linkedin-ads)

Search and social

LinkedIn is the better buy when you need to reach people by job title. AdBuyMCP reaches the same market away from LinkedIn, and the two can run together.

Choose LinkedIn Ads when

You need to reach people by job title or at named companies. LinkedIn's targeting is built for that, and a minimum of $10 a day makes it easy to test.

Choose AdBuyMCP when

You want your buyers to see you away from LinkedIn too, through out-of-home, streaming TV, podcasts and ChatGPT ads, at a frequency you choose for one monthly price. Keep LinkedIn running alongside if it works for you.

[The full comparison](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/linkedin-ads) 7 sources linked

04

### [AdBuyMCP vs an agency](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/media-agency)

Agency or in-house

An agency brings more judgement and a team you can call. AdBuyMCP gives you a price before you talk to anyone, with the media and your ads included, and balances the budget across the channels for you.

Choose an agency when

You need judgement more than a price, your plan runs on channels AdBuyMCP doesn't buy, or your procurement needs a supplier with references. For audio alone, Klaxon runs managed UK radio and podcast campaigns at fixed prices, starting with its BOOST package at £2,499 plus VAT for a four-week campaign. For a paid ads test on Meta, LinkedIn or Google Search, Tempa runs one for 30 days at $5,000 plus ad spend, for Y Combinator companies only.

Choose AdBuyMCP when

You know who buys from you, you want to be known by them before they start looking, and you'd rather approve a plan than sit through a pitch meeting and a 40-slide deck.

[The full comparison](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/media-agency) 4 sources linked

05

### [AdBuyMCP vs doing it yourself](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/doing-it-yourself)

Agency or in-house

For one channel, buy it direct. AdBuyMCP earns its place when you want all four running against one market, at a frequency you choose.

Do it yourself when

You want one or two channels, or you have someone to run each seller's account. For streaming TV alone, Universal Ads has a £0 minimum. For audio alone, Klaxon's managed BOOST package is £2,499 plus VAT for a four-week campaign. Klaxon guarantees the advert will be heard by 33,000 of your target customers, and the package plays it 100,000 times. For billboards alone, Loud! OOH publishes prices from £325 for two weeks.

Choose AdBuyMCP when

You want your market to see you on all four channels every week, and you'd rather approve one plan and its ads than make an ad for each channel, run four accounts and add up their reports.

[The full comparison](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/doing-it-yourself) 6 sources linked

06

### [AdBuyMCP vs Universal Ads](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/universal-ads)

Specialist

For streaming TV alone, go direct to Universal Ads. AdBuyMCP is for a plan that puts streaming TV beside out-of-home, podcasts and ChatGPT ads, at a frequency you choose.

Choose Universal Ads when

Your whole campaign is streaming TV. Universal Ads sells Channel 4, ITV and Sky direct with a £0 minimum and no platform fees, so going direct is the better buy.

Choose AdBuyMCP when

Streaming TV is one part of how you want your market to see you, beside out-of-home, podcasts and ChatGPT ads, and you want the budget balanced for you at a price you know up front.

[The full comparison](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/universal-ads) 3 sources linked

07

### [AdBuyMCP vs OOH specialists](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/ooh-specialists)

Specialist

For billboards and screens alone, buy from a specialist. AdBuyMCP is for out-of-home as one of four channels aimed at your market.

Choose OOH specialists when

Billboards and screens are the whole campaign. A specialist with published prices and no minimum is the better buy, and you choose every site yourself.

Choose AdBuyMCP when

Out-of-home is one of the places you want your market to see you, beside streaming TV, podcasts and ChatGPT ads, at a frequency you choose, for one monthly price.

[The full comparison](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/ooh-specialists) 2 sources linked

08

### [AdBuyMCP vs CAASie](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/caasie)

Specialist

For digital screens alone with nothing to sign, use CAASie. AdBuyMCP is for screens as one part of a plan, at a frequency you choose.

Choose CAASie when

You want digital screens on their own, live today, paid by the play with nothing to sign. For a small screens-only test, CAASie removes more friction than we do.

Choose AdBuyMCP when

Screens are one part of how you want your market to see you, beside streaming TV, podcasts and ChatGPT ads, at a frequency you choose, for a monthly price you know up front.

[The full comparison](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/caasie) 1 source linked

09

### [AdBuyMCP vs Global AdPower](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/global-adpower)

Specialist

If your plan is Global's outdoor and radio, buy it from Global. AdBuyMCP is for out-of-home as one of four channels, beside streaming TV, podcasts and ChatGPT ads.

Choose Global AdPower when

Your plan is Global's outdoor or radio, and you want it live tomorrow. Buying from the company that sells the inventory is faster and simpler, and anyone in between adds nothing.

Choose AdBuyMCP when

Out-of-home is one part of how you want your market to see you, beside streaming TV, podcasts and ChatGPT ads, at a frequency you choose, for one monthly price.

[The full comparison](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/global-adpower) 2 sources linked

10

### [AdBuyMCP vs MNTN](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/mntn)

Specialist

For a US market on streaming TV, MNTN is the stronger buy. AdBuyMCP is for a UK market, with streaming TV as one of its channels.

Choose MNTN when

Your market is in the US and streaming TV is the channel you want. MNTN's B2B segments, HubSpot matching and visit attribution make it the stronger choice there.

Choose AdBuyMCP when

Your market is in the UK, and you want streaming TV beside out-of-home, podcasts and ChatGPT ads, at a frequency you choose, for one monthly price.

[The full comparison](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/mntn) 2 sources linked

11

### [AdBuyMCP vs Amazon DSP](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/amazon-dsp)

Platform

If Amazon's audiences and Prime Video are the plan, go direct. AdBuyMCP is for B2B awareness across several channels, at a frequency you choose.

Choose Amazon DSP when

Amazon's audiences and Prime Video are the plan, and your budget clears its minimums. Going direct, or through a reseller with a seat, is the shorter route.

Choose AdBuyMCP when

You sell to businesses, you want streaming TV beside out-of-home, podcasts and ChatGPT ads, and you want one monthly price for the frequency you choose.

[The full comparison](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/amazon-dsp) 4 sources linked

12

### [AdBuyMCP vs The Trade Desk](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/the-trade-desk)

Platform

The Trade Desk is the most capable buying platform here, and it pays off for a team with a trader and volume. AdBuyMCP is for a founder who wants a priced plan.

Choose The Trade Desk when

You have a trading desk, or an agency running one for you, and the volume to negotiate. At that scale its capability is in a different class, and the fee buys something real.

Choose AdBuyMCP when

You have no trader, you want to choose how often your market should see you each week, and you want the price before you talk to anyone.

[The full comparison](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/the-trade-desk) 2 sources linked

13

### [AdBuyMCP vs DV360](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/dv360)

Platform

DV360 is the stronger choice for a team that runs its media inside Google's stack. AdBuyMCP is for a founder who wants a priced plan across four channels.

Choose DV360 when

Your media runs inside Google's stack, YouTube matters to you, and you have a trader or an agency to run it. The integration is valuable, and copying it through anyone else would be daft.

Choose AdBuyMCP when

You have no trader, and you want to choose how often your market should see you each week across out-of-home, streaming TV, podcasts and ChatGPT ads, for a price you know up front.

[The full comparison](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/dv360) 1 source linked

14

### [AdBuyMCP vs Blis](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/blis)

Platform

Blis is strong in the UK, with no media markup and no platform fee. AdBuyMCP suits a founder who wants to choose a frequency and have the budget balanced for them.

Choose Blis when

Your channel set is the one Blis covers, location matters most to your plan, and you or your agency want to run a platform. For many UK buyers that is the right trade.

Choose AdBuyMCP when

You want to choose how often your market should see you each week across out-of-home, streaming TV, podcasts and ChatGPT ads, with the budget balanced for you, at a price you know up front.

[The full comparison](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/blis) 1 source linked

15

### [AdBuyMCP vs Basis](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/basis-compass)

Platform

Compass is built for agencies planning digital media at scale. AdBuyMCP is built for a founder buying awareness, with a price set by the size of their market.

Choose Basis when

You're an agency planning digital media for clients, and you need planning inside a platform that also handles billing, reconciliation and client workflow. There is no agency edition of AdBuyMCP.

Choose AdBuyMCP when

You're the founder buying the media, and you want awareness across out-of-home, streaming TV, podcasts and ChatGPT ads at a frequency you choose, for a price you know up front.

[The full comparison](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/basis-compass) 1 source linked

16

### [AdBuyMCP vs tvScientific](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/tvscientific)

Specialist

For a consumer brand that wants to pay per outcome on streaming TV, tvScientific is the better model. AdBuyMCP is for B2B awareness, at a frequency you choose.

Choose tvScientific when

You're a consumer brand with a clean, high-volume conversion event, and streaming TV is the channel you want. Paying per outcome moves the risk to the platform, and you should take that deal.

Choose AdBuyMCP when

You sell to businesses, most of your buyers aren't in the market right now, and you want to choose how often they should see you each week, across four channels in the UK.

Where it fits

## The alternatives fall into four groups

AdBuyMCP sells a plan with a price: you choose how often your market should see you (3, 5 or 12 times a week), the monthly price follows the size of your market, and we make your ads from your website and balance your budget across out-of-home, streaming TV, podcasts and ChatGPT ads.

### Search and social ads reach people by what they search for and who they are

Google reaches people as they search, Meta by interest and LinkedIn by job title. They work best on buyers who are already looking, so keep them running beside an awareness plan.

- [AdBuyMCP vs LinkedIn Ads](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/linkedin-ads)

### Platforms give your team the controls to run each channel

They suit a team with someone in-house, or an agency, to plan, buy and optimise the media day to day.

- [AdBuyMCP vs Blis](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/blis)
- [AdBuyMCP vs Basis](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/basis-compass)

### Specialists sell one kind of media well

If one channel is the whole plan, buying it from a specialist is usually simpler and cheaper.

- [AdBuyMCP vs Universal Ads](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/universal-ads)
- [AdBuyMCP vs OOH specialists](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/ooh-specialists)

- [AdBuyMCP vs tvScientific](https://adbuymcp.com/compare/tvscientific)

### An agency or your own team can do the buying

An agency brings judgement and a team on a retainer, and buying each channel yourself suits one or two channels.

Retired claims

## We have retired these claims

We considered each of these phrases and rejected it for the reason beside it.

1. 01 ~~"AI-native" and "one brief"~~
   Why not
Both are category conventions that everyone uses, so neither sets a product apart.
2. 02 ~~"As easy as social"~~
   Why not
That is Universal Ads' explicit UK television promise, and they are closer to it.
3. 03 ~~"Incrementality"~~
   Why not
Sold by Blis, MNTN, tvScientific and others, and an awareness plan promises no result. Our measurement refuses a test the spend cannot power, and keeps modelled evidence apart from causal.
4. 04 ~~"MCP" as positioning~~
   Why not
MCP is an integration surface, and Amazon and other ad platforms already offer one.
5. 05 ~~"Every screen"~~
   Why not
Inaccurate for audio, and it implies broader supply than exists.
6. 06 ~~"One click to live"~~
   Why not
Inaccurate: nothing is bought until you've approved the plan, the ads and the start date, and a host-read podcast takes four to six weeks to book.
7. 07 ~~"60 seconds to live"~~
   Why not
It is inaccurate for the same reasons as "One click to live", and the number makes it sound precise.
8. 08 ~~"The first" or "the only"~~
   Why not
It is checkable and wrong: StackAdapt already runs CTV, audio, digital out-of-home and ChatGPT ads from one platform.
9. 09 ~~"3 to 5% in-market"~~
   Why not
The source, Professor John Dawes of the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute, estimates that something like 5% of business buyers are in the market in a given quarter, as a rule of thumb. We say about 5% and name him.
10. 10 ~~"In ChatGPT's answer"~~
    Why not
OpenAI shows ChatGPT ads below the answer, labelled and kept separate from it, so an ad is never part of what ChatGPT says.
11. 11 ~~"Get on the shortlist"~~
    Why not
A place on a buyer's list is an outcome no advertising can promise, and Bain names past experience, colleagues and vendor websites as the routes onto a day-one list. We write "get known by your buyers" instead.

What runs today

## You can price a plan today, and media is bought once you've confirmed it

The platforms and sellers compared here run campaigns for their customers today. AdBuyMCP is in its launch phase: no media has been bought through it yet, so your campaign would be among the first, on a start date we agree with you. It is software with its founder in the loop, so there is no account team.

The [supply status page](https://adbuymcp.com/supply) grades each of AdBuyMCP’s connectors on what it has done with a real seller so far.

If any of that matters for your plan, ask the founder about it on a 30-minute call.

## What buyers ask when they are comparing

Five questions founders ask when they weigh AdBuyMCP against the alternatives.

### Who is AdBuyMCP's closest competitor?

StackAdapt. It runs CTV, audio including podcasts, digital out-of-home and ChatGPT ads from one platform, with B2B targeting and no minimum spend, and it is ahead on live campaigns, attribution and support. The difference is how you buy: StackAdapt is a platform your team runs, and AdBuyMCP sells a plan at 3, 5 or 12 times a week for one monthly price, with the budget balanced for you.

### Should I move my search and LinkedIn budget into awareness?

Keep it. Search, LinkedIn and outbound reach the buyers who are looking now, and an awareness plan reaches the rest of your market before they start, alongside them. If you need meetings this month, fund search and outbound first.

### Isn't an MCP server the differentiator?

MCP is how AI tools connect to software, and Amazon and other ad platforms already offer their tools through it. What sets AdBuyMCP apart is the offer: one all-in monthly price set by the size of your market, a frequency you choose and a budget balanced across four channels for you. A compatible AI client with its own approved registration can work in your workspace through AdBuyMCP's hosted server, and a person approves anything that commits money.

### What does AdBuyMCP do differently?

It sells awareness as a plan with a price: you choose how often your market should see you (3, 5 or 12 times a week), the monthly price follows the size of your market, and we make your ads from your website and balance your budget across out-of-home, streaming TV, podcasts and ChatGPT ads. You approve the plan and the ads before anything runs, and a weekly report shows what each channel delivered. Most alternatives here sell a platform to run, one channel, or a team on a retainer.

### Is it cheaper to buy the channels myself?

Usually, yes. Buying direct, you pay each seller's own price with no margin on top, and most start small: Spotify sells podcast ads from £250, and ChatGPT ads start at £15 a day. AdBuyMCP's monthly price covers the media, the ads we make for each channel from your website, and the planning and buying. What it gets you is one plan across all four channels, with the budget balanced for you and one weekly report.
